Other Scholarships

Certainly there are other scholarships out there specifically Sports/ Athletic Scholarships and if you can get one of those great, more power to you. The Military offers the GI Bill college money.  Every College and University offers their own scholarships see what they have.

Granite Education Foundation has other scholarships if you live in the Granite School District. For minorities, unwed mothers, those who have successfully battled addictions, the emotionally and physically handicapped and those who have overcome substantial obstacles in their young lives.  www.graniteeducationfoundation.org or call 385-646-4590

The Ken Winsness Scholarship  is available to students going to the University of Utah who demonstrate financial need contact  the U of U Financial Aid and Scholarship Office 
 

USU offers annually three $18,000 Willard L. Eccles Foundation Graduate Fellowships:  available to graduate students in the College of Science, to attract and retain the finest academic minds with a creative and ambitious approach to solving research problems.  Also a $8,000 to $16,500 Deans Scholarship and other scholarships.

 

The U of U's  Steffensen Cannon Scholarship 12-15 awards given out annually ($10,000: UG, $15,000: G, 12-15) for graduate and undergraduate students in the Colleges of Education and Humanities.  Also there is 12-15, $15,000 University Teaching Assistantships up there. 

There is the T. H. Bell Teaching Incentive Loan Program worth up to $4,000 a year for up to eight semesters/four years or until the requirements for teaching certification have been met, whichever is shorter.  Loan must be repaid in cash or through a work-service obligation; recipient must teach in a Utah public school one year for each year award is received. The Steven Magelby Memorial Law Student Fellowship Fund - Steven Magleby devoted much of his professional life to defending and advocating for the rights of people with disabilities, this Scholarship in honor of his memory at U of U
